Overview

3. Organic certification ≠ halal certification: "Organic" means pesticide/GMO-free cultivation under an agricultural standard (USDA, EU Organic, etc.). It does not verify absence of impure cross-contaminants in processing. Always check the halal logo separately.
4. When in doubt, avoid: The Prophet (ﷺ) advised: "Leave that which makes you doubt for that which does not make you doubt" (Tirmidhi, Sahih). For consumers unable to verify supply-chain halal status, choosing a certified product or verified single-origin sprouted flax is the more cautious path.
