Islamic Ruling

Hanafi School: According to the general principles of the Hanafi school, all plant-based foods are permissible (halal) unless specifically prohibited by Islamic law. Since carrot oil is derived entirely from plant seeds with no animal or intoxicating substances, it is considered halal. The principle "everything that grows from the earth is in principle halaal (permitted)" applies to carrot oil.

Maliki School: The Maliki school follows the same fundamental principle that all vegetables and plant-derived products are permissible for consumption and use. Carrot oil, being extracted from carrot seeds through a purely mechanical process, falls under the category of halal plant-based oils with no restrictions.

Shafi'i School: The Shafi'i school considers all pure plant substances to be halal unless they cause intoxication or harm. Carrot oil, as a natural vegetable oil with no intoxicating or harmful properties, is fully permissible according to Shafi'i jurisprudence. The Quranic verse "He it is Who created for you all that is on earth" (Al-Baqarah 2:29) supports the permissibility of beneficial plant products.

Hanbali School: The Hanbali school adheres to the principle that plant-based foods and their derivatives are halal by default. Carrot oil, being a natural extract from carrot seeds without any prohibited additives, is considered permissible. The school emphasizes that no food should be declared haram without sound Islamic evidence, and there is no evidence prohibiting carrot oil.
